14-inch touchscreen ultrabook with quad-core i7, 16 GB DDR4 and 256 GB SSD running Windows 11 Pro
Model i7 16GB/256GB W11P Touch
The Dell Latitude 5404 is a 14.0 inch touchscreen laptop built for business users who need a compact Windows 11 Pro machine. It ships with an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor, 16 GB of DDR4 2133 memory in a dual-channel 8 GB x 2 layout and a 256 GB M.2 2242 SSD. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 FHD panel.
Units supplied may be either a Latitude 5400 or 7400 variant, so the I/O mix differs. One version provides three USB 3.1 ports, one USB-C port, HDMI and RJ-45 Ethernet. The other swaps two USB 3.1 ports and the USB-C for a single Thunderbolt 3 port with DisplayPort capability plus HDMI. Both include a webcam and Intel dual-band wireless with Bluetooth.
Both SODIMM slots are occupied by the factory 8 GB modules, leaving zero free slots for later expansion. The maximum supported capacity is 32 GB, so any upgrade requires replacing both sticks. The M.2 2242 slot accepts a single drive up to 1 TB, allowing straightforward SSD replacement. A 65-watt AC adapter is included.

Other versions of this model
The 256 GB drive handles the operating system and everyday files; the 1 TB ceiling is useful only if you store large local datasets or media libraries.
Four cores at DDR4 2133 give smooth multitasking for office apps, browser tabs and light content creation without thermal throttling.
Depending on the chassis you receive, the USB‑C port is either a standard 3.1 Gen 1 link or a Thunderbolt 3 interface with DisplayPort video output.
