Business ultrabook for mobile professionals

The Latitude 7400 is a 14.0" thin-and-light laptop built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 2133 memory in a 16 GB x 2 configuration and a 256GB M.2 2242 SSD. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed.

Thunderbolt 3 and 65-watt adapter included

A single Thunderbolt 3 port adds DisplayPort video output alongside two USB 3.1 ports and HDMI. The box contains a 65-watt AC adapter so the system is ready to run immediately. No optical drive is fitted.

Suits office users needing maximum RAM now

The 32GB capacity hits the platform ceiling with zero free slots, so buyers who want more memory later should look elsewhere. The non-touch 1920 x 1080 screen and integrated Intel UHD Graphics also rule out colour-critical creative work or gaming.

Questions about this item

What RAM upgrade is possible when both DDR4 2133 slots are already filled with 16 GB modules?

The board supports a maximum of 32 GB, so no further memory upgrade is possible without removing the existing 16 GB x 2 kit.

Which thermal limit appears first when the quad-core i7-8650U runs at full load inside the 14.0" ultrabook chassis?

The 65-watt AC adapter and thin-and-light design mean the CPU will hit its power and temperature ceiling before sustained peak clocks can be maintained.

How loud does the cooling fan get during an all-day workload on the 14" FHD non-touch model?

The compact ultrabook form factor with integrated Intel UHD Graphics forces the fan to spin audibly once the 8th Gen quad-core processor sustains heavy compute tasks.
