Refurbished 14-inch business laptop

The DELL Latitude 5420 arrives as a Grade A refurbished unit running Windows 11 Pro 64-bit. It pairs an Intel Core i5-1145G7 processor with 16GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. The 14.0-inch non-touch display shows 1920 x 1080 resolution. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics use shared system memory for visual output.

Sustained workload behaviour

The four-core i5-1145G7 handles typical office multitasking and light content tasks without throttle under normal loads. Shared graphics memory means the 16GB RAM pool serves both system and video duties during extended sessions. Two Thunderbolt 4 ports support high-speed docks or external GPUs for heavier, prolonged graphical work if required.

Thermals noise and power

The slim 1.29-inch chassis and 3.03-lb weight limit cooling capacity, so fans spin up noticeably during long compile or render jobs. Surface temperatures stay comfortable for lap use during email and browsing. The included power adapter supplies sufficient wattage for the 11th Gen CPU and integrated graphics under standard business workloads.

Questions about this item

How much heat and fan noise does the Intel Core i5-1145G7 produce when the laptop runs all day?

The processor shares its cooling with the integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics, so sustained loads keep the chassis warm but the fan typically stays at a low hum.

Which power adapter do I need to already own for this Latitude 5420 to charge?

The box includes a Dell power adapter, so no extra charger is required to start working.

Will my older USB-A monitor and RJ-45 dock work with the two Thunderbolt 4 ports on this machine?

Yes, the two Thunderbolt 4 ports accept USB-A monitors and RJ-45 docks through standard adapters or cables.
