Business laptop for office work

The Latitude 5490 is a 14.0-inch Windows 11 Pro notebook built around an Intel Core i5 8th Gen processor running at 1.60GHz. It ships with 32GB of memory and a 512GB SSD, so typical business applications and multitasking run without delay. The non-touch WXGA screen shows 1366 x 768 resolution, and Intel HD Graphics 620 handles everyday visual tasks.

Display and graphics limits

The 14.0-inch panel uses a 1366 x 768 WXGA LED backlight, which is adequate for documents and web pages but lacks the pixel density for detailed design work or multi-window layouts. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 shares system memory and has no dedicated video RAM, so 3D rendering, video editing or modern gaming are not practical. External monitor support depends on the ports actually present on the unit.

Chassis condition and daily implications

This unit is professionally reconditioned and rated in fair cosmetic condition, meaning moderate scratches or scuffs on the bezel and casing plus visible wear on the keyboard and trackpad. Expansion or SD slot covers may be missing, and the screen may show up to two minor imperfections such as light scratches or a single dead pixel. Buyers who want a pristine appearance or guaranteed port covers should look elsewhere.
