Ready-to-work Latitude 5520 for mobile professionals

This Dell Latitude 5520 ships with Windows 11 Pro, an Intel Core i5 1145G7 running at 2.60 GHz, 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 1 TB NVMe drive. The 15.6 inch FHD panel delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution without touch input. Integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics handles everyday visual tasks while Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI ports cover external displays.

Straightforward setup with cosmetic allowances

The laptop arrives assembled with charger and battery included; no internal assembly is required. Because the unit is graded BLCD, expect visible scratches, possible shiny keycaps and minor LCD blemishes that do not affect operation. Thunderbolt 3 ports use USB-C connectors — verify your cables match. Driver updates for Wi-Fi 802.11 and Bluetooth 5.1 may be needed after first boot.

Check your workflow against the fixed specification

Memory is soldered to 16 GB with a 32 GB ceiling, so plan for that limit if your workloads grow. The single 1 TB NVMe slot leaves no room for a second drive without removing the existing one. Only two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports are present alongside the two Thunderbolt 3 ports — count your peripherals accordingly. No optical drive or Ethernet dongle is included in the box.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the Intel Core i5 1145G7 2.6 GHz and 16 GB DDR4 are recognised after first boot?

Open Task Manager and confirm the CPU shows 4 cores at 2.60 GHz and the memory reads 16 GB DDR4; the Windows 11 Pro desktop should load without driver warnings.

What ships in the box and what must I source separately?

The package includes the laptop, charger and battery; no optical drive, dock or external peripherals are supplied.

Which configuration fits a user needing maximum RAM headroom on this 5520?

The board supports up to 32 GB, so the installed 16 GB DDR4 leaves two slots free for a future upgrade.
