Mobile workstation for professionals

The Dell Latitude 5520 is a 15.6 inch laptop built around an Intel Core i5 1145G7 processor running at 2.6 GHz with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB NVMe SSD. It ships with Windows 10 Pro and integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics. The chassis is grey and rated Grade A cosmetic condition, suited to office workers and mobile professionals who need a reliable daily driver.

Ports and connectivity expand utility

Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and two Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports handle data, video and charging through a single cable standard. A full-size HDMI output adds a second external display without adapters. Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g and Bluetooth 5.1 cover wired and wireless networks, while a microSD card reader simplifies media transfer. The included webcam supports video calls out of the box.

Memory and storage headroom

The 8 GB of installed DDR4 handles typical business workloads and light multitasking; the system supports up to 32 GB for heavier datasets or virtual machines. The 512 GB NVMe drive offers fast boot and application load times with room for a large document library, though users working with extensive video projects or local databases will eventually need external storage. Buyers who want more storage or user-upgradeable graphics should consider other form factors.

Questions about this item

Can the 8GB DDR4 memory be upgraded later?

The system supports up to 32GB of DDR4, so the installed 8GB can be replaced with higher-capacity modules.

What limits sustained performance first on the Core i5 1145G7?

The 15W quad-core processor will hit its thermal ceiling before the 8GB memory or 512GB NVMe SSD become bottlenecks.

How loud and hot does the chassis get during an all-day workload?

The integrated Iris Xe graphics and 15W CPU keep fan noise moderate and surface temperatures comfortable for typical office tasks.
