Dell Latitude 5520 business laptop

The Dell Latitude 5520 is a 15.6 inch business laptop running Windows 11 Pro. It uses an Intel Core i7 1185G7 processor with four cores and 32GB of DDR4 memory. A 512GB NVMe SSD provides the primary storage. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 non-touch display.

Suits mobile professionals needing maximum factory

This configuration suits users who need 32GB of memory immediately, because the system supports no more than that amount. Buyers who want to upgrade memory later should look elsewhere. The Grade B cosmetic condition means visible scratches or shiny keys are present, so buyers wanting a pristine appearance should consider a different grade.

32GB memory ceiling defines upgrade potential

The single specification that decides fit is the 32GB maximum supported memory, which is already installed. No further RAM expansion is possible, so the purchase must match the workload for the laptop's entire service life.

Questions about this item

What physical dimensions and mounting points does the 15.6-inch chassis require for a docking station or stand?

The laptop uses a 15.6-inch form factor with two Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports that carry video and power, so a dock or stand must align with those ports and the rear hinge clearance.

How is the 512GB NVMe M.2 SSD installed, and what step do people often miss?

The drive slots into the internal M.2 PCIe slot at a shallow angle, then secures with a single screw; the step often missed is pushing the module fully home before tightening that screw.

What maintenance will the soldered 32GB DDR4 memory and the 512GB NVMe SSD need over time?

The 32GB DDR4 is soldered and cannot be upgraded, so no memory maintenance is required; the NVMe SSD is user-replaceable and may need a fresh Windows 11 Pro install if swapped later.
