What this laptop is and who it targets

The Dell Latitude 5521 is a 15.6 inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i5 11th Gen processor with a minimum speed of 2.70GHz. It comes with 8GB of memory and a 128GB solid-state drive running Windows 11 Pro. The display is a non-touch Wide UXGA panel at 1366 x 768 resolution. It is built for office workers and students who need a reliable Windows machine for everyday productivity.

What the bundled software and recovery image change

Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed with a hard-disk-based recovery image, so the system can be restored to its factory state without external media. The 128GB SSD capacity may actually fall between 120GB and 128GB, which limits space for large local files. Two memory slots are present, allowing a future RAM upgrade if required.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This unit suits buyers who want a functional business laptop with a genuine Windows 11 Pro licence and are comfortable with visible cosmetic wear such as scratches, scuffs or up to two minor screen imperfections. It is not for users who need a pristine chassis, a higher-resolution screen, dedicated graphics performance, or more than 128GB of internal storage without upgrading.

Questions about this item

Can the 8 GB of RAM be upgraded later using the two memory slots?

The laptop has two memory slots with 8 GB installed, so you can add or replace modules to increase capacity.

Will the Intel UHD Graphics or the 15.6" 1366 x 768 display become the bottleneck during long work sessions?

Integrated Intel UHD Graphics shares system memory, so heavy graphical workloads will hit that limit before the panel does.

How much heat and fan noise should I expect from the Core i5 11th Gen running at its 2.70 GHz base speed all day?

The 11th Gen Core i5 at 2.70 GHz draws modest power, so sustained loads produce moderate warmth and low fan noise in the Latitude 5521 chassis.
