Dell Latitude 5590 business laptop

The Dell Latitude 5590 is a 14.0 inch FHD business laptop built for professionals who need reliable daily performance. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor with 8 GB DDR4 memory. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles standard office visuals.

Dual-drive storage configuration

This unit ships with a 512 GB M.2 primary drive paired with a 1 TB secondary solid-state drive. The combined layout gives ample space for operating system, applications and large local data sets without relying on external media. No mechanical hard drive is present despite some references.

Standard business chassis access

The chassis uses common screws for bottom-cover removal, allowing straightforward access to memory slots and the M.2 slot. The 2.5 inch bay for the secondary drive is also reachable once the cover is off. Reassembly requires care with the display cable routing near the hinge area.

Questions about this item

How does the 1.9 GHz base speed of the i7-8650U translate to everyday workloads?

The quad-core i7-8650U runs at 1.9 GHz base and can boost to 4.20 GHz across its four cores and eight threads, so routine office apps stay responsive while heavier bursts finish quickly.

What external display limits does the USB-C DisplayPort connection impose?

The USB-C port carries DisplayPort video; it will drive one external monitor at up to 4K resolution depending on the attached display and cable quality.

Will the 14.8-inch wide chassis fit in a standard 15-inch laptop sleeve?

Yes — the body measures 14.8 inches wide by 9.87 inches deep, so it slides into any sleeve or bag designed for 15-inch class notebooks.
