Professional Ultrabook

The Dell Latitude 5590 is a 15.6 inch business laptop built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor running at 1.7 GHz with a 3.60 GHz boost. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive layout combining a 512 GB M.2 primary drive with a 1 TB secondary SSD. The 1920 x 1080 IPS panel is non-touch and framed by thin borders.

Dual SSD Upgrade Path

This configuration replaces single-drive machines that force a choice between speed and capacity. The factory-fitted 512 GB M.2 drive handles the operating system and active projects while the 1 TB secondary SSD stores archives and media. The jump is worth it when daily workflows exceed 512 GB of active data but a single large SSD is not yet justified.

Dock-Ready Connectivity

HDMI and DisplayPort over USB Type-C with optional Thunderbolt support drive external monitors without a proprietary dock. Three USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, one with PowerShare, plus RJ45, VGA, SD slot and a SIM tray cover legacy peripherals and mobile broadband. The 14.8 by 9.87 inch chassis weighs 4.19 lbs and fits standard 15 inch sleeves.
