14.0" FHD Touchscreen Latitude 5590

The Dell Latitude 5590 is a 14.0 inch FHD touchscreen ultrabook running Windows 11 Pro. It combines an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor with 32 GB DDR4 memory and a dual solid-state drive configuration of 512 GB plus 1 TB.

Mobile professionals needing touch input

This configuration suits users who need a responsive touchscreen display and 32 GB of RAM for multitasking across business applications. Buyers who require a dedicated graphics processor or a larger 15.6 inch screen should consider other models.

Dual 512 GB and 1 TB SSD storage

The defining specification is the dual solid-state drive layout providing 512 GB primary and 1 TB secondary capacity. This all-SSD arrangement delivers fast boot times and ample space for large project files without mechanical drives.

Questions about this item

Does the Intel Core i5-8350U throttle under sustained multi-core workloads?

The quad-core i5-8350U runs at 1.7 GHz base and can boost to 3.60 GHz, but the 14.0-inch chassis and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 share the same thermal envelope, so extended heavy loads will hit the cooling limit first.

How loud and hot does the laptop get when left running all day?

With a 4.19 lb body only .9 inches thick at the front, the single fan must cool both the CPU and the 32 GB DDR4 memory; expect audible fan spin and warm keyboard deck after a few hours of continuous use.

What cables or docks do I need to drive two external monitors from the USB-C port?

The USB Type-C supports DisplayPort alternate mode, so a single USB-C to dual-DisplayPort adapter or a DisplayPort MST hub will run two screens without needing the optional Thunderbolt controller.
