Business 15.6 laptop with 32GB DDR4

The Dell Latitude 5590 is a 15.6 inch laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-8250U quad-core processor at 1.60GHz. It comes with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB NVMe SSD running Windows 10 Pro. The HD display offers 1366 x 768 resolution with Intel UHD Graphics 620.

Suits mobile office work not heavy graphics

This configuration suits professionals who need a portable 15.6 inch system for document editing, web browsing and video calls using the webcam. Buyers who want a touchscreen, higher resolution panel or discrete graphics for creative workloads should look at something else. The integrated GPU limits 3D performance.

Max memory fixed at 32GB DDR4

The system supports a maximum of 32GB DDR4 which is already installed, so no further memory upgrades are possible. The 256GB NVMe SSD provides the primary storage and can be replaced if more capacity is required. This memory ceiling decides whether the laptop fits long-term workload plans.

Questions about this item

Will the 15.6" HD 1366 x 768 screen and HDMI port work with my older 1080p monitor?

The HDMI port supports external displays; the laptop panel is 1366 x 768, so the monitor will run at its native 1080p while the built-in screen stays at HD.

How can I verify the Intel UHD Graphics 620 and 32GB DDR4 are active after first boot?

Open Task Manager → Performance tab; GPU 0 should show Intel UHD Graphics 620 and Memory should read 32 GB DDR4.

Does the box include a VGA cable for legacy projectors or only the charger and battery?

The package contains the laptop, charger and battery; a VGA cable is not included and must be purchased separately.
