Latitude 7390 business laptop

The Dell Latitude 7390 is a 13.3-inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor running at 1.90GHz with 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 256GB solid-state drive. It ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and Intel HD Graphics driving a non-touch Full HD anti-glare display. The chassis measures 12.0 inches wide by 8.19 inches deep and weighs 2.59 lbs.

Thunderbolt 3 and backlit keyboard expand utility

A Thunderbolt 3 port adds high-speed peripheral support and external display options beyond the integrated graphics. The backlit internal keyboard improves usability in low-light environments while the 60 WHr four-cell battery pairs with a 65W worldwide AC adapter for mobile productivity. Intel Dual-Band Wireless-AC 8265 provides Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity.

Suits mobile professionals needing legacy OS

This configuration suits professionals who require Windows 10 Pro on a compact, managed fleet device with Thunderbolt 3 expansion. Buyers who need a touchscreen, discrete graphics, larger storage capacity or a newer Windows version should look at alternative models. The absence of an optical drive also limits local media installation.

Questions about this item

Will the 8 GB DDR4 2400 memory need an upgrade for heavier workloads?

The 8 GB DDR4 2400 module is soldered and cannot be expanded, so future memory needs must be met by the existing capacity.

What limits the Core i7-8650U during long rendering sessions?

The 15 W processor thermal design means sustained clocks drop once the 60 Wh battery and cooling reach their limits.

How loud and hot does the 13.3 inch chassis get under all-day load?

Fan noise rises to an audible whine and the bottom surface becomes warm as the 65 W adapter keeps the 4-cell battery topped up.
