Questions about this item

Does the Intel Core i5-8350U throttle under sustained all-core load?

The quad-core i5-8350U runs at a 1.7 GHz base and can reach 3.6 GHz with Turbo Boost; under continuous heavy workloads the 13.3 inch chassis will limit how long peak speeds are held.

How loud and hot does the laptop get during a full workday?

Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 shares the cooling solution with the CPU; expect fan noise to rise and the keyboard area to warm up when both are stressed for hours.

What must I already own to use the USB-C port for an external display?

The USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port supports DisplayPort alternate mode, so you need a monitor or adapter that accepts a DisplayPort signal over USB-C.
