Compact business ultrabook

The Dell Latitude 7390 is a 13.3-inch touchscreen ultrabook built for mobile professionals who need a lightweight Windows 10 Pro device. Its quad-core Intel Core i5-8350U processor runs at 1.7 GHz and can reach 3.6 GHz with Turbo Boost, providing responsive performance for office applications and multitasking. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles everyday visual tasks and external display output.

Included connectivity and input options

The system ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD, so storage and memory upgrades are not immediately required. Ports include two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A connectors, one of which supports PowerShare, plus a USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port with DisplayPort alternate mode and an HDMI output. Bluetooth 4.2 and a spill-resistant keyboard round out the feature set for flexible working environments.

13.3-inch FHD touchscreen defines the form factor

The 1920 x 1080 touch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 determines the physical size and interaction model of the device. Buyers who need a larger screen, a discrete graphics processor, or a convertible 2-in-1 hinge should consider other form factors. The 3.11 lb weight and narrow bezel suit frequent travel, but the fixed clamshell design does not support tablet-mode use.

Questions about this item

Can the 16 GB DDR4 memory be upgraded to 32 GB later?

The system supports up to 32 GB DDR4, so the installed 16 GB can be increased to that limit.

What thermal limit appears first when the Intel Core i5-8350U runs at 3.6 GHz for long periods?

The processor will hit its thermal throttle point before sustained 3.6 GHz can be maintained under heavy all-day loads.

How loud is the fan and how hot does the chassis get during an all-day workload?

Fan noise stays at a low office hum and the palm-rest area remains warm but comfortable during extended use.
