Dell Latitude 7480 Ultrabook

This 14-inch business ultrabook ships new with Windows 10 Pro and a 6th Gen Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor. It targets mobile professionals who need a lightweight chassis, integrated Intel HD Graphics 520, and a 1920 x 1080 anti-glare display for daily productivity tasks.

Installation and common issues

The system arrives with the operating system preinstalled and 8 GB of DDR4 memory fitted, so no hardware assembly is required for typical use. Upgrading storage or memory involves opening the chassis; the motherboard supports SATA and NVME M.2 drives up to 1 TB, but the maximum DDR4 capacity is 32 GB.

Capacity and headroom

The 512 GB SSD provides ample room for the OS, applications and active project files, while 8 GB RAM handles standard office multitasking smoothly. Heavy workloads such as large datasets, virtual machines or video editing will exceed the integrated graphics and memory headroom, so buyers who need more storage or higher RAM ceilings should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Intel Core i7-6600U processor is running at its rated 2.6GHz base speed after setup?

Open Task Manager in Windows 10 Pro, select the Performance tab, and observe the CPU clock speed; it should show 2.6 GHz at idle and can boost up to 3.4 GHz under load.

What items are included with the Latitude 7480 and which common accessories must be purchased separately?

The box contains the 14.0" FHD laptop with 8GB DDR4 memory, 512GB SSD, Windows 10 Pro, HDMI, USB-C DisplayPort, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and integrated camera; a docking station, external monitor, or carrying case are sold separately.

Which storage capacity should I choose between the 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB SSD options for this model?

The 512GB SSD fitted to this unit suits most professional workloads; choose 1TB only if you store large media libraries locally, while 128GB or 256GB risk filling quickly with modern applications and updates.
