Dell Latitude 7400 i7-8665U 14" FHD

This 2019 Dell Latitude 7400 laptop ships new with Windows 10 Pro. It uses a quad-core Intel Core i7-8665U processor that reaches 4.80 GHz with Turbo Boost. The 14.0-inch non-touch display shows 1920 x 1080 FHD resolution. Integrated graphics, 8 GB memory and a 512 GB SSD complete the core specification.

Suitable users and limitations

Business users needing a light 1.36 kg chassis with Thunderbolt 3 and vPro manageability will fit this device. Buyers who want more memory or storage than 8 GB and 512 GB should look elsewhere. Anyone requiring a dedicated GPU, a touchscreen or a newer Windows licence will not be served by this configuration.

Deciding specification: 8 GB soldered memory

The 8 GB capacity is the single figure that decides fit. It cannot be upgraded, so workloads that regularly exceed this limit will throttle. If your daily multitasking stays within 8 GB, the i7-8665U and 512 GB SSD deliver responsive performance in a thin 17.82 mm to 18.96 mm profile.
