Questions about this item

Does this 14-inch ribbon cable fit the Dell Latitude 7420 with the 6mm RGB IR camera module?

Yes, it is a genuine Dell OEM part numbered RG8X8 made specifically for the Latitude 7420 equipped with the optional 6mm infrared camera.

What is the common mistake when routing this EDP ribbon cable during installation?

The thin 6mm ribbon must be folded correctly and seated fully in the connector latch; forcing it or leaving the latch open causes no video or camera detection.
