Built for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 7480 is a 14.0 inch laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U processor running at 2.6 GHz. It comes with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 solid state drive. The Full HD display delivers a 1920 x 1080 resolution without touch input. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handles visual output. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed.

Sustained performance on the move

The dual-core Skylake architecture and 4MB L2 cache provide steady throughput for office workloads and multitasking. Integrated graphics share system memory, so extended 3D tasks are not the intended use case. The NVMe storage maintains high read and write speeds during long sessions without the thermal throttling common in slower drives. Buyers who need discrete GPU power for rendering or gaming should look elsewhere.

Durable chassis with modern connectivity

A Grade B LCD rating means the screen may show visible wear such as faint marks or uneven brightness, while the chassis can exhibit worn keys or minor cosmetic marks. Thunderbolt 3 over USB-C supports high-speed peripherals and external displays. HDMI output connects to projectors or televisions for presentations. Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 cover wired and wireless networking. A microSD card reader and 720p webcam complete the daily toolkit.

Questions about this item

How loud does the Intel Core i7-6600U get when the Latitude 7480 runs all day?

The dual-core 2.6 GHz processor with 4 MB cache handles typical office tasks without spinning the fan loudly; surface temperatures stay comfortable during extended use.

What cables or peripherals must I already own to use the Thunderbolt 3 port and the HDMI output on this Latitude 7480?

A USB-C Thunderbolt 3 cable for docks or external GPUs and a standard HDMI cable for monitors or projectors are the only extra items needed.

Will the USB 3.0 ports and Gigabit Ethernet on this 7480 work reliably with my older USB 2.0 drives and 100 Mbps switches?

Yes — the three USB 3.0 ports are backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices, and the Gigabit Ethernet port negotiates down to 100 Mbps automatically.
