Built for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 7480 is a 14.0 inch QHD touchscreen laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor running at 2.6 GHz. It ships with 8 GB DDR4 memory and a 128 GB M.2 SATA SSD running Windows 11 Pro. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 drives the 2560 x 1440 display.

Upgrade from slower storage or lower resolution

Replacing a traditional hard drive with the M.2 SATA SSD cuts boot and application load times while preserving battery life. The QHD panel adds sharpness over standard HD screens for detailed documents and presentations. Thunderbolt 3 over USB-C provides a single-cable path to docks and external displays when desk space allows.

Handles office suites and video calls.

The 8 GB memory and 6th generation i7 keep web apps, spreadsheets and conferencing smooth. The 128 GB drive holds the OS and core programs but leaves little room for large media libraries or local backups. Integrated graphics suit productivity and playback but not 3D rendering or modern gaming.

How do I reinstall Windows 11 Pro on the 128GB M.2 SATA SSD without losing the licence?

Boot from a USB installer, select the 128GB M.2 SATA drive, and Windows 11 Pro will reactivate automatically via the firmware licence.

Can the 8GB DDR4 memory be upgraded later when I need more capacity?

The 8GB DDR4 is soldered to the board and cannot be upgraded; only the M.2 SATA SSD slot is user-replaceable.
