Mobile workstation with QHD touch

The Latitude 7480 pairs a 14-inch 2560 x 1440 touchscreen with an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor, 32GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 drives the display. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed. Thunderbolt 3, HDMI and three USB 3.0 ports handle video and peripheral connectivity.

Upgrade from lower-resolution panels

Moving from a 1080p non-touch screen to this QHD touch panel adds 1440 vertical pixels and direct input for annotation or presentation work. The jump is worth it when you regularly connect to projectors via HDMI or need the extra pixel density for detailed documents on a 14-inch form factor.

Sustained workload behaviour

The 15W processor maintains clocks for typical office loads, web browsing and video playback. Under continuous multi-threaded tasks the dual-core design will throttle to stay within its thermal envelope, so compile times and heavy data processing run slower than on higher-wattage parts. Fan noise rises during extended load but remains consistent with ultrabook-class cooling.
