Mobile workstation for business travellers

The Dell Latitude 7480 combines a 14.0 inch FHD display with an Intel Core i7-6600U processor running at 2.6 GHz, 32GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe SSD. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed on a chassis built for frequent transport and client meetings. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handles everyday visual tasks without a discrete GPU.

Connectivity hub for desk and field

Thunderbolt 3 over USB-C provides high-speed expansion for docks or external storage, while HDMI connects directly to projectors or televisions. Three USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 cover wired and wireless peripherals. A microSD reader adds removable media access without extra adapters.

Ready-to-deploy package

The box includes the laptop, charger and battery so the system powers up immediately. Grade B LCD and worn-key notices mean cosmetic imperfections are present but functionality is intact. No optical drive is fitted, saving weight for mobile users. Buyers who need a touchscreen or discrete graphics should consider other models.

Questions about this item

What happens to the i7-6600U clock speeds when the 7480 runs heavy workloads for a long time?

The dual-core i7-6600U will reach its thermal limit under sustained load and lower its frequency to stay within the cooling capacity of the 14" chassis.

How loud and hot does the Latitude 7480 get during an all-day workload?

Fan noise becomes noticeable and the keyboard deck warms up because the integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 and CPU share the same heat pipes in the slim body.

Which charger does the 7480 need to run and charge at full speed?

The laptop requires its original USB-C Thunderbolt 3 power adapter; a lower-wattage USB-C charger will run the system but may not charge the battery under load.
