Latitude 7480 business ultraportable

The Dell Latitude 7480 is a 14.0 inch business laptop built around a dual-core Intel Core i7-6600U processor running at 2.6 GHz. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB SATA M.2 solid-state drive. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 drives the 1920 x 1080 non-touch display. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

Travellers and office workers needing ports

This configuration suits professionals who move between desks and meeting rooms and rely on HDMI, Thunderbolt 3 via USB-C, Gigabit Ethernet and a microSD reader for daily connectivity. Buyers who want a touchscreen, a discrete graphics card or a higher core count processor should look at something else. The Grade B LCD rating means the screen may show visible wear.

Sustained workloads on integrated graphics

Under continuous load the dual-core Skylake CPU and shared Intel HD Graphics 520 will throttle to manage heat within the slim chassis. Expect stable performance for document editing, web browsing and video playback, but extended rendering or heavy multitasking will run at reduced clock speeds compared to short bursts. The SATA M.2 SSD maintains consistent throughput without the thermal spikes seen in faster interfaces.
