Dell Latitude 7480 14 FHD Business Laptop

The Dell Latitude 7480 is a 14.0 inch Full HD business laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor running at 2.6 GHz. It comes with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB SATA M.2 SSD. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 drives the 1920 x 1080 non-touch display. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed for professional use.

Thermals and Power Efficiency

The efficient Skylake-based processor enables longer battery life during mobile work. Integrated graphics eliminate the heat and power draw of a discrete GPU. The slim chassis manages thermals for typical office workloads. Fan noise stays low during standard productivity tasks.

Upgrade Considerations and Limits

This unit replaces an older business notebook lacking Thunderbolt 3 connectivity and high-speed storage. The jump is worth it for users needing USB-C expansion and fast SATA SSD responsiveness. Buyers who want more storage capacity or a dedicated graphics card for heavy creative work should look elsewhere. Grade B condition means visible cosmetic blemishes are present.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 1TB SATA M.2 SSD in the Latitude 7480?

Power off the laptop, remove the base cover screws, locate the M.2 slot, insert the drive at an angle, press flat and secure with the retention screw. People often forget the screw.

What maintenance will the 32GB DDR4 memory need later?

The memory is soldered and not user-replaceable, so no module swaps are required. Keep vents clear and update firmware to maintain thermal performance over time.

What limit appears first during sustained loads on the Intel HD Graphics 520?

The integrated GPU shares system memory and hits thermal throttling before the CPU, reducing clock speeds during extended 1080p rendering or multi-display use.
