Mobile workstation with i7-6600U

The Dell Latitude 7480 combines a dual-core Intel Core i7-6600U running at 2.6 GHz with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB SATA M.2 SSD. It targets professionals who need a 14.0 inch Full HD display and Windows 10 Pro for daily productivity on the move.

Connectivity hub for peripherals

Three USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI output and a single USB-C Thunderbolt 3 connection handle monitors, docks and storage. Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 cover wired and wireless networks, while a microSD reader adds removable media access.

32GB memory and 1TB storage headroom

The 32GB DDR4 allocation supports heavy multitasking and large browser workloads without paging. The 1TB SATA M.2 SSD holds extensive local files and applications, though the integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 limits 3D rendering and modern gaming performance.

Questions about this item

Will the Intel Core i7-6600U throttle under a sustained all-core load?

The dual-core Skylake processor runs at 2.6 GHz with a 4 MB L2 cache and relies on the laptop's internal cooling to maintain clocks during extended workloads.

How loud or hot does the system get when it runs all day?

Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 keeps heat output modest, and the slim chassis uses a single fan that stays quiet during typical office tasks but spins up under continuous heavy compute.

What power adapter do I need to charge the 7480 over USB-C?

The Thunderbolt 3 port accepts a USB-C charger that supports Power Delivery; the box includes the original barrel-type charger for immediate use.
