Dell Latitude 7490 Ultrabook

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a 14 inch business ultrabook powered by an Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor running at 1.9 GHz with a 4.2 GHz boost. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 128 GB SSD running Windows 11 Pro. The 1920 x 1080 IPS display offers full HD clarity without touch input.

Upgrade from dual-core or 8 GB systems

Moving from a dual-core laptop or one limited to 8 GB of RAM gives a clear jump in multitasking headroom for office suites, browser tabs and video calls. The quad-core design and 32 GB memory make the difference when running virtual machines or heavy spreadsheets. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles standard business visuals but does not replace discrete graphics for rendering or gaming workloads.

Suits mobile professionals needing memory over

This configuration suits travelling professionals who value a light chassis, quad-core responsiveness and 32 GB of RAM for concurrent applications. Buyers who want more storage capacity or a touchscreen should look at other configurations. Users requiring dedicated graphics performance for creative rendering or engineering simulation will need a different class of device.
