Dell Latitude 7490 14" Business Laptop

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a 14-inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-8650U processor running at 1.90 GHz. It includes 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. The 14.0" FHD display delivers a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles visual output. It ships with Windows 10 Pro installed.

Suited for mobile professionals needing

This configuration suits professionals who require Thunderbolt 3 connectivity for docks or high-speed peripherals. The quad-core processor and fast NVMe storage support typical office multitasking and quick boot times. Buyers who need a touchscreen for direct input should look elsewhere, as this model uses a non-touch panel. Those requiring discrete graphics performance for 3D rendering or gaming will also need a different system.

8GB soldered memory limits future upgrades

The single specification that decides fit is the 8GB DDR4 capacity. This memory is not upgradeable, so the system cannot exceed 8GB of RAM. Buyers who anticipate needing more memory for virtual machines, large datasets or future software demands must consider this constraint before purchase. The 512GB NVMe SSD remains replaceable for storage expansion.
