Business laptop for everyday productivity

The DELL Latitude 7490 is a 14.0 inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor running at 1.70GHz. It ships with Windows 10 Pro and 8GB of DDR4 memory. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles office applications, web browsing and video playback without a discrete GPU. This unit is sold new with a Grade B cosmetic rating.

256GB NVMe storage and 8GB memory headroom

A 256GB NVMe PCIe SSD provides fast boot times and responsive application loading for the operating system and core programs. The 8GB DDR4 configuration suits typical multitasking with browser tabs, documents and communication tools. Heavy workloads such as large databases, virtual machines or media editing will exhaust both capacity and memory headroom quickly.

Durable chassis with essential connectivity

The Latitude 7490 chassis is designed for daily transport and includes an HDMI output for external displays plus a USB Type-C port for data and charging. A built-in webcam supports video calls. The non-touch FHD 1920 x 1080 screen offers clear visuals in a compact 14 inch form factor. Grade B condition means minor cosmetic wear is present.

Questions about this item

Will my existing USB-A mouse and HDMI monitor work with the USB Type-C and HDMI ports on this Latitude 7490?

Yes, the HDMI port connects your monitor directly, and the USB Type-C port accepts standard USB-A peripherals with a simple adapter or hub.

How can I verify the Intel Core i5-8350U and 8GB DDR4 are running correctly after first boot?

Open Task Manager to confirm four cores at 1.7 GHz base speed and 8 GB DDR4 memory; run the built-in Windows Memory Diagnostic for a quick RAM health check.

Does the box include a power adapter, or do I need to buy one separately?

A functional AC adapter is supplied — either a new third-party unit or an OEM used one — so no separate purchase is required.
