Mobile workstation for business travellers

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a 14.0 inch laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 128GB M.2 SATA solid-state drive. It runs Windows 11 Pro and uses integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620. The chassis is designed for frequent travel and client meetings.

Verify your peripheral and display needs

Confirm that your external monitors accept HDMI input and that any Thunderbolt 3 docks or USB-C accessories you own are compatible with the single USB Type-C port. The system provides three USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, a microSD card reader and a 720p webcam. Wireless connectivity uses 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.2.

Thermals and acoustics in office use

The low-power U-series processor typically runs cool during document editing, video calls and web browsing, so fan noise stays low in quiet rooms. Under sustained multi-core loads the fans become audible but remain within normal office background levels. The 128GB drive has no moving parts, keeping idle power draw minimal.
