Professional mobile workstation

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a 14.0 inch laptop built for professionals who need reliable performance while travelling or meeting clients. It combines an Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. Windows 10 Pro provides a familiar business environment.

Thunderbolt 3 single-port bandwidth

The single USB Type-C port carries Thunderbolt 3 traffic alongside DisplayPort and USB 3.0 data, so total throughput is shared between external storage, docks and displays. Only one such port exists, limiting simultaneous high-speed peripherals. Gigabit Ethernet and HDMI provide additional fixed-function connectivity.

Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620

Graphics output relies on the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 engine, which handles office applications, video playback and multi-monitor setups over HDMI or Thunderbolt. It does not support modern 3D workloads, dedicated VRAM or hardware-accelerated ray tracing. Buyers needing discrete GPU performance should choose a different system.
