Business ultraportable with pen input

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a 14 inch touchscreen laptop built for mobile professionals who need a durable chassis and a full Windows 10 Pro environment. Its magnesium-alloy back and spill-resistant keyboard suit frequent travel and desk sharing. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles office suites, browser workloads and video conferencing without a discrete GPU.

32 GB DDR4 memory and 512 GB SSD headroom

Dual-channel 32 GB DDR4 saturates the two available slots, so the system runs large spreadsheets, virtual machines and multi-monitor workflows without paging. The 512 GB solid-state drive delivers quick boot and application launch while leaving room for local project files. Memory cannot be expanded beyond 32 GB and the drive bay does not accept a second 2.5 inch device.

Replaces thicker 14 inch fleet notebooks

Organisations refreshing four-to-five-year-old clamshell Latitudes gain touch input, narrower bezels and a lighter 3.1 kg profile while keeping the same dock connector layout. The upgrade is worthwhile when pen annotation, instant-on SSD responsiveness or 802.11ac wireless are required; buyers who need user-replaceable batteries, discrete graphics or a second storage drive should look elsewhere.
