Mobile workstation profile

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a 14.0 inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor running at 1.90 GHz with 8 MB cache. It targets professionals who need a compact touchscreen device for office applications, video calls and light content review while moving between meetings.

Memory and storage headroom

The system ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB M.2 NVMe PCIe solid-state drive. That combination handles typical multitasking with browser tabs, document suites and collaboration tools, but memory-intensive workloads such as large dataset analysis or virtual machines will exhaust the available RAM quickly.

Connectivity and display limits

A Full HD 1920 x 1080 touchscreen provides pen and finger input for annotations. Video output relies on a single HDMI port, while data transfers use three USB 3.0 ports and one USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port with PowerShare. Wireless networking tops out at 802.11ac with Bluetooth 4.2, and wired Ethernet is limited to Gigabit speeds.
