Ready-to-use 14-inch business laptop

This Dell Latitude E5420 arrives with Windows 10 Home installed and an Intel Core i7 dual-core processor running at 2.20GHz. Eight gigabytes of DDR3 memory and a 256GB solid-state drive handle everyday office workloads. The 14.0-inch LED-backlit display shows 1366 by 768 resolution. Integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics drive the screen and external monitors.

Charcoal-gray chassis with legacy ports

The case includes a built-in DVD-RW drive and a card reader for older media. Video output is provided through VGA and HDMI connectors, while wired networking uses a Gigabit Ethernet port. Wireless connectivity comes from an Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 adapter. A 720p webcam sits above the display, and a Trusted Platform Module 1.2 chip adds hardware-based security.

Check your software and peripheral needs

The operating system is Windows 10 Home; verify whether your applications require Windows 11 Pro before ordering. Memory is listed as 8GB DDR3 with a noted 16GB maximum, so confirm the upgrade path if you plan more RAM. The 2.5-inch SSD form factor limits future storage expansion to similar drives. Buyers who need a touchscreen, discrete graphics or a higher-resolution panel should consider other models.
