Questions about this item

Can the 8 GB DDR3 memory be upgraded later, and what is the maximum supported?

The laptop has two memory slots and supports up to 16 GB of DDR3, so you can add or replace modules to reach that limit.

Will the Intel Core i5-5300U throttle during long rendering or compile jobs?

The dual-core 2.30 GHz processor with 2.90 GHz turbo boost will hit its thermal ceiling before the 1 TB SATA SSD becomes a bottleneck under sustained heavy loads.

How loud and hot does the chassis get when the system runs all day?

The 14.0-inch HD non-touch display and integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 keep power draw low, so fan noise and surface temperature stay moderate during typical business use.
