The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14.0" Full HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-5300U dual-core processor running at 2.30 GHz with a 2.90 GHz turbo frequency. It comes with 16GB of DDR3 memory and a new 240GB SATA SSD. Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This laptop suits office workers and students who need a portable Windows 10 machine with a 1920 x 1080 display, integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500, and 16GB of RAM for everyday multitasking. Buyers who need more than 16GB of memory or a dedicated graphics card should consider other options.

Deciding specification: 16GB DDR3 memory limit

The system has two memory slots and supports a maximum of 16GB of DDR3 RAM, which is already installed. This fixed ceiling determines whether the laptop can handle your workload or if you need a platform with expandable memory.

Questions about this item

Does the 14.0" FHD laptop arrive with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit already installed, or must I purchase an OS separately?

The system ships with Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64-bit pre-installed, so no separate operating-system purchase is required.

The spec shows 16GB DDR3 and two memory slots with a 16GB maximum — does that mean both slots are already filled?

Yes, the 16 GB limit is reached with the installed modules, so both slots are occupied and no further RAM can be added.

In daily use, how does the Intel HD Graphics 5500 paired with the 1920 x 1080 panel perform for office work and video playback?

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 drives the 1920 x 1080 display smoothly for typical office applications, web browsing and HD video playback.
