Genuine Dell E5450 Touchscreen Cable

This genuine Dell OEM ribbon cable carries the video signal for the 14-inch touchscreen panel in a Latitude E5450. It is a direct replacement for part number 7DDTW and fits only the touchscreen variant of that model.

Signal integrity under daily use

The flex construction is designed for the repeated hinge movement of a 14-inch laptop lid. It maintains a stable connection through regular opening and closing cycles without intermittent flicker or loss of touch input.

Straightforward laptop installation

Replacement requires partial disassembly of the display assembly to reach the cable routing. The connector keying prevents mis-insertion, but the fragile flex tail can crease if bent sharply during reassembly. Buyers without a compatible Latitude E5450 touchscreen unit cannot use this part.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 7DDTW ribbon cable draw when the Latitude E5450 touchscreen runs all day?

The cable itself draws no power; it only carries the display signal between the motherboard and the 14 inch touchscreen panel.

Which Dell laptop must I already own for this 7DDTW cable to fit and function?

It fits only the Latitude E5450 equipped with the 14 inch touchscreen LCD assembly.

Will the 7DDTW cable work if I keep the original non-touch E5450 display housing and hinges?

No, the cable is designed for the touchscreen variant and will not connect to a non-touch panel or its hinge routing.
