Built for Business Mobility

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14-inch laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-5300U processor running at 2.3 GHz. It comes with 8 GB of memory and a 256 GB solid state drive. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed. The HD display offers a 1366 x 768 resolution driven by Intel HD Graphics 4400.

Who This Suits and Who It Does Not

This machine suits professionals needing a lightweight Windows 10 Pro device for office applications, email and web browsing. Its VGA and HDMI ports support external monitors. Buyers who need a touchscreen, a higher resolution panel or a dedicated graphics card for intensive 3D work should look elsewhere.

The Specification That Decides Fit

The dual-core i5-5300U and 8 GB of memory define the performance ceiling for multitasking and general productivity. If your workflow demands more processing threads or memory capacity, this configuration will not meet those requirements.

Questions about this item

Does the Core i5-5300U run hot when the laptop is used all day?

The 2.3 GHz dual-core processor is a low-power design, so the chassis stays cool during typical office work; the fan becomes audible only under sustained heavy loads.

What must I already own to start using the E5450 right away?

The unit ships with Windows 10 Pro, 8 GB of memory and a 256 GB SSD installed, so only a power outlet is required to begin working.

Can I keep using my older VGA monitor with the HDMI and VGA ports on this model?

Yes, the laptop provides both a full-size HDMI port and a VGA port, allowing direct connection to legacy displays without adapters.
