14-inch HD Latitude E5450

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14.0-inch HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-5300U dual-core processor running at 2.30 GHz with a 2.90 GHz turbo frequency. It comes with 8GB of DDR3 memory and a new 2TB 2.5-inch SATA SSD installed. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 drives the 1366 x 768 non-touch display.

Suits daily office work; not for OS-ready buyers

This laptop suits users who want a business-class chassis with a large solid-state drive for document handling and web browsing. The dual-core processor and 8GB of memory handle typical productivity tasks. Buyers who need a machine that arrives with an operating system pre-installed should look elsewhere, as none is supplied.

2TB SATA SSD decides storage fit

The single specification that determines fit is the 2TB 2.5-inch SATA solid-state drive. It provides substantial capacity for local files and applications on a SATA interface. The system supports up to 16GB of DDR3 across two slots if more memory is required later.

Questions about this item

What operating system must I provide for the Latitude E5450 to boot?

The laptop ships with no operating system, so you must supply and install your own Windows or Linux licence.

Will my existing 2.5" SATA drive fit alongside the installed 2TB SSD?

The specifications list a single 2.5" SATA SSD and no secondary bay, so an additional drive cannot be added internally.

How can I verify the Intel Core i5-5300U is running at its 2.90 GHz turbo after setup?

Open Task Manager or a hardware monitor and confirm the CPU frequency reaches 2.90 GHz under load.
