Dell Latitude E5450 14-inch FHD laptop

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14.0-inch Full HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-5300U dual-core processor running at 2.30 GHz with a turbo frequency of 2.90 GHz. It comes with 16GB of DDR3 memory and a new 500GB SATA SSD. Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed for immediate use.

16GB DDR3 memory fixed at maximum

The system includes 16GB of DDR3 RAM across two slots, which matches the maximum supported capacity of 16 GB. This means the memory cannot be upgraded beyond the factory configuration. Buyers who need more memory for heavy multitasking or virtual machines should consider a different platform.

Simple storage access with SATA SSD

The 500GB SSD uses a standard 2.5-inch SATA interface, making it straightforward to replace or clone if a larger drive is needed later. No proprietary drive formats are involved. The memory slots are not accessible for expansion since the installed 16GB already reaches the board limit.

Questions about this item

How does the 2.30 GHz base clock and 2.90 GHz turbo behave when the dual-core i5-5300U is inside a 14" chassis?

The processor runs at 2.30 GHz base and can boost to 2.90 GHz on one or both cores; the 14.0" frame uses integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 and relies on the internal fan to sustain turbo under load.

What does the 2.5" SATA interface mean for the 500GB SSD in daily use?

The drive connects through a standard 2.5" SATA link, so sequential transfers are bounded by the SATA bus and the SSD delivers solid-state responsiveness for the installed Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.

What physical space and memory layout does the 16GB DDR3 configuration occupy?

The 16 GB DDR3 fills both available memory slots, reaching the 16 GB maximum supported, and the 2.5" SATA SSD sits in the standard drive bay inside the black and silver chassis.
