Latitude E5570 15.6" FHD laptop

The Dell Latitude E5570 is a 15.6 inch laptop with a 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display. It runs on an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor with a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 8GB DDR3 memory and a new 1TB 2.5 inch SATA SSD. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This laptop suits professionals needing a portable Windows 10 machine with a large 1080p screen and fast solid-state storage. The dual-core processor handles office applications and web browsing smoothly. Buyers who want more storage capacity or a dedicated graphics processor for intensive 3D work should look elsewhere. The two memory slots allow an upgrade to 16 GB maximum if required.

The spec that decides fit

The Intel HD Graphics 520 integrated GPU is the specification that decides whether this is the right part. It shares system memory and delivers enough performance for video playback, multiple monitors and general productivity. It cannot run modern games or GPU-accelerated rendering workloads at acceptable speeds. Confirm that your software only needs integrated graphics before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Does the Intel Core i7-6600U run hot or noisy under continuous load?

The dual-core processor reaches a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency, and the integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 keeps thermal output modest for office workloads.

What memory modules are required if I want to reach the 16 GB maximum?

Two DDR3 SO-DIMM slots are fitted; populating both with 8 GB sticks achieves the 16 GB ceiling.

Can the 2.5" SATA drive bay accept a mechanical hard drive alongside the existing SSD?

The 1 TB SSD occupies the single 2.5" SATA bay, so a second mechanical drive would need a caddy in the optical slot.
