Dell Latitude E5570 15.6" HD laptop

The Dell Latitude E5570 is a 15.6" HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-6300U dual-core processor running at 2.40 GHz with a turbo frequency of 3.00 GHz. It comes with 16GB of DDR3 memory and a new 500GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. The system ships without an operating system installed.

HD 1366 x 768 display and integrated graphics

The 15.6" non-touch screen delivers a 1366 x 768 HD resolution driven by Intel HD Graphics 520. This display and graphics combination suits office applications, web browsing and video playback, but it is not intended for high-resolution content creation or modern gaming workloads.

No OS and memory fixed at 16GB

The laptop arrives with no operating system, so you must provide and install your own Windows or alternative OS licence. Memory is maxed at 16GB across two slots with no headroom for expansion, and the single M.2 NVMe slot limits future storage upgrades to one drive.

Questions about this item

Should I pick a model with more storage or is the 500GB M.2 NVMe PCIe drive enough for typical workloads?

The 500GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD provides fast boot and application load times; 16GB DDR3 memory is already at the 16 GB maximum, so storage is the only user-expandable resource.

What does the 2.40 GHz base and 3.00 GHz turbo actually deliver in daily use?

The dual-core i5-6300U runs at 2.40 GHz base and can boost to 3.00 GHz for short bursts, giving snappy responsiveness for office apps and web browsing.

Does the M.2 slot run at full NVMe PCIe speed or is it limited by the chipset?

The specification lists the drive as a 500GB SSD M.2 NVMe PCIe, indicating the slot supports NVMe PCIe operation for the installed drive.
