Dell Latitude E5570 15.6" FHD laptop

The Dell Latitude E5570 is a 15.6 inch FHD laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor running at 2.60 GHz with a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. It comes with 16GB of DDR3 memory and a new 128GB 2.5 inch SATA SSD. The system ships with no operating system installed.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This unit suits users who need a 15.6 inch 1920 x 1080 display, 16GB of memory and a clean drive for their own OS installation. It does not suit buyers who want a touchscreen, a larger factory-fitted SSD or a pre-loaded Windows licence. The memory is already at the 16GB maximum supported.

Intel HD Graphics 520 integrated GPU

Graphics are handled by the Intel HD Graphics 520 integrated controller, which drives the 1920 x 1080 panel without a discrete GPU. This covers office applications, video playback and light graphical workloads. Buyers who need dedicated graphics memory or higher 3D performance should look at a different system.

Questions about this item

Does the 15.6 inch FHD chassis accept a 2.5 inch SATA drive for the 128GB SSD?

Yes, the storage spec lists a 2.5 inch SATA SSD, so the drive bay is built for that form factor.

What is the correct way to seat the 16GB DDR3 modules in the two memory slots?

Insert each module at an angle until the gold contacts disappear, then press down firmly until both side clips click into place.

When will the internal CMOS battery need replacement on this Latitude E5570?

The coin-cell battery typically lasts several years; replace it when the system loses date and time settings after being powered off.
