Latitude E5570 for office mobility

The Dell Latitude E5570 is a 15.6-inch FHD laptop built around an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor running at 2.60 GHz with a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 8GB of DDR3 memory and a new 128GB 2.5-inch SATA SSD. Windows 10 Home 64-bit is pre-installed, making it ready for typical business tasks straight out of the box.

SSD and Windows 10 Home changes

The new 128GB SATA SSD replaces any mechanical drive, so boot times and application launches are noticeably quicker than on a hard-disk configuration. Windows 10 Home 64-bit provides the familiar desktop environment and supports the full range of standard productivity software without requiring a separate licence purchase.

Memory slots and storage form factor

The system has two memory slots and supports a maximum of 16GB, so you can add another DDR3 module later if 8GB proves limiting. The included SSD uses the 2.5-inch SATA form factor; verify that any additional drive you intend to fit matches this physical size and interface. Buyers needing more than 128GB of internal storage should plan for an upgrade.

Questions about this item

Can the 8 GB DDR3 memory be upgraded later?

Yes, the board has two slots and supports up to 16 GB total, so you can add another module or replace both.

What limits sustained performance first on the Core i7-6600U?

The dual-core 15 W processor hits its thermal ceiling before the 520 graphics or the SATA SSD become bottlenecks.

How loud and hot does the E5570 get during an all-day workload?

Under continuous load the dual-core chip runs warm and the fan spins up audibly, but the 15.6" chassis keeps surface temperatures manageable.
