Latitude E6430 14" business laptop

The Dell Latitude E6430 is a 14.0 inch business laptop built around a 3rd Generation Intel Core i7-3520M dual-core processor running at 2.90 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR3 memory and a 1 TB solid-state drive. Windows 10 Professional 64-bit comes pre-installed with a Certificate of Authenticity. The anti-glare HD LED display offers a 1366 x 768 resolution suited for office tasks and travel.

Installation and common issues

The system arrives with a fresh Windows 10 Pro installation and an OEM AC adapter, so initial setup only requires powering on and completing the out-of-box experience. Driver support for the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 and other components is mature, reducing configuration friction. The optical drive uses a tray-load mechanism that can occasionally stick after long storage. Buyers who need a thinner ultrabook or a dedicated graphics card should look elsewhere.

Capacity and headroom

The 1 TB SSD provides ample space for the operating system, productivity suites and large local file libraries without relying on external drives. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR3 memory handles typical multitasking workloads such as multiple browser tabs, office applications and video conferencing simultaneously. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 limits 3D performance to light casual titles and hardware-accelerated video playback. The 1366 x 768 panel restricts on-screen workspace for complex spreadsheets or timeline editing.
