Product identity

The Dell Latitude E6430s is a 14.0-inch business notebook built around an Intel Core i7-3520M dual-core processor running at 2.90 GHz. It ships with 8 GB of DDR3 memory, a new 512 GB 2.5-inch SSD and Windows 10 Pro 64-bit pre-installed. The anti-glare HD LED panel resolves 1366 x 768 and the chassis weighs about .5 lbs less than the standard E6430 model.

Thermals and power

Integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 shares system memory and keeps heat output modest during typical office workloads. The dual-core mobile CPU idles quietly and the fan spins up only under sustained multi-threaded tasks. Power draw stays within the limits of the supplied adapter, so the machine runs cool on a desk or lap without needing extra cooling attention.

Build and connectivity

The black-and-silver magnesium-alloy frame includes a Trusted Platform Module chip for hardware encryption support. Video output is handled by full-size VGA and HDMI mini ports, while wired networking uses a Gigabit Ethernet jack. A DVD-RW drive, 720p webcam, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth complete the daily-use kit, and the slim bezel keeps the footprint compact for travel.
