Product Identity

The Dell Latitude E7450 is a 14.0 inch FHD laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-5200U processor running at 2.20 GHz with a turbo frequency of 2.70 GHz. It includes 16GB of DDR3 memory and a new 500GB SSD using a 2.5 inch SATA interface. The system ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit installed.

Ideal User Profile

This device suits professionals needing a portable 14 inch business laptop with a 1920 x 1080 display and integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 for office applications. It is not for buyers who want a touchscreen, discrete graphics, or storage capacity beyond 500GB. The memory is fixed at the maximum supported 16GB, so upgraders should look elsewhere.

Deciding Specification

The dual-core i5-5200U with Intel HD Graphics 5500 determines whether this laptop fits your workload. It handles general productivity and web browsing but lacks the graphics power for modern gaming or intensive video editing. Verify that this CPU and integrated GPU combination meets your performance requirements before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How is the 2.5" SATA SSD installed, and what step do people often miss?

The 500GB SSD fits into the internal 2.5" SATA bay; the step often missed is securing the drive with the caddy screws before closing the chassis.

What maintenance will the 16GB DDR3 memory need later?

The 16GB DDR3 fills both slots at the 16 GB maximum, so no further memory upgrades are possible; only a full replacement would increase capacity.

What limit appears first during sustained load on the i5-5200U?

The dual-core i5-5200U hits its 2.70 GHz turbo ceiling quickly under continuous work, making CPU throughput the first bottleneck.
