Business laptop for professionals

The Dell Latitude E7450 is a 14.0" business laptop built for professionals who need a durable, portable machine for daily productivity. Its 5th gen Intel Core i5 processor running at 2.90GHz and 8GB of DDR3 memory deliver reliable performance for office applications and multitasking. The 128GB solid-state drive provides fast boot times and responsive file access. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed with a Certificate of Authenticity and Product Key.

Security and manageability features

Intel vPro technology and Dell Data Protection & Encryption supply hardware-level security and remote management capabilities that simplify IT maintenance for organisations. Bluetooth 4.0 enables wireless peripheral connections without cables. The MIL-STD 810G testing confirms the tri-metal magnesium alloy chassis withstands challenging physical environments. A soft-touch paint finish adds grip and resists wear during frequent travel.

Capacity and headroom

The 128GB SSD comfortably handles the operating system, business applications and active project files, though users with large media libraries or extensive local databases will need external storage. 8GB of DDR3 memory supports typical multitasking with multiple browser tabs, documents and communication tools, but memory-intensive workloads such as virtual machines or large datasets will exceed available RAM. The integrated Intel HD Graphics drives the 14" non-touch display for standard business visuals, not 3D rendering or gaming.

Questions about this item

Is the 8 GB DDR3 memory soldered or can it be upgraded later?

The Latitude E7450 uses a single SODIMM slot for its 8 GB DDR3, so the module can be replaced with a higher-capacity stick if required.

What limits sustained performance first — the 2.90 GHz Core i5 or the integrated Intel HD Graphics?

Under continuous load the 5th-generation Core i5 hits its thermal ceiling before the Intel HD Graphics becomes the bottleneck.

How loud and hot does the 14" chassis get when the 128 GB SSD and i5 run all day?

The MIL-STD 810G-tested tri-metal chassis stays cool and quiet during typical business workloads; fan noise only rises during prolonged heavy compute tasks.
