14.0" FHD Latitude E7450

This Dell Latitude E7450 is a 14.0 inch laptop with a 1920 x 1080 non-touch display. It runs on an Intel Core i5-5300U dual-core processor with a turbo frequency of 2.90 GHz. The system includes 8GB of DDR3 memory and a new 1TB 2.5" SATA SSD. No operating system is installed.

Buyers who install their own OS

It suits buyers who want to install their own operating system on a compact business laptop. It is not for users who need a machine that works immediately out of the box. Builders who require more than 16 GB of total memory should look elsewhere. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 does not meet the needs of heavy 3D workloads.

16 GB maximum memory limit

The board provides two memory slots and supports a maximum of 16 GB of DDR3. This ceiling decides whether the laptop can handle your workload. The installed 8GB leaves one slot free for an upgrade up to that limit.

Questions about this item

Will the 2.5" SATA SSD fit the same drive bay as the mechanical drive in my older Latitude?

Yes, the 1 TB SSD uses the standard 2.5" SATA form factor, so it drops into the same bay used by older mechanical drives.

How can I confirm the 1920 x 1080 panel and Intel HD Graphics 5500 are active after I install an OS?

Open Device Manager or your OS display settings; the adapter will list as Intel HD Graphics 5500 and the native resolution will show 1920 x 1080.

Does the box include a power adapter, or do I need to source one separately?

The laptop ships with a Dell power adapter; no operating system is included, so you must provide your own Windows or Linux installation media.
