Dell Latitude E7470 14" HD+ Laptop

This 14.0-inch business laptop carries an Intel Core i7-6650U dual-core processor with a 2.20 GHz base frequency and 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a new 2TB 2.5-inch SATA SSD. Windows 10 Home 64-bit is pre-installed on the device.

Suitable for office work

The integrated Intel Iris Graphics 540 and 1600 x 900 non-touch display handle standard productivity tasks and video playback. Buyers who need a dedicated GPU for 3D rendering or a higher-resolution panel for detailed design work should look elsewhere.

Memory fixed at 16GB DDR4 maximum

The system board supports two slots but the manufacturer caps total memory at 16GB, so no upgrade path exists beyond the factory configuration. Verify that this limit matches your workload before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Does the 14.0" HD+ display require a specific bezel or mounting bracket for replacement?

The 14.0" HD+ panel uses the standard Latitude E7470 bezel and hinge brackets; no proprietary bracket is needed beyond the original chassis parts.

What is the correct order to seat the 2TB 2.5" SATA SSD so the connector fully engages?

Slide the drive into the caddy at a slight angle, press firmly until the SATA connector clicks, then secure the single retention screw before closing the base cover.

Which memory modules can be swapped later if a DIMM fails, given the 16 GB DDR4 limit?

Both SODIMM slots are occupied at the 16 GB maximum; a failed module must be replaced with an identical DDR4 SODIMM of the same capacity.
