Suits mobile professionals needing a compact

This configuration suits professionals who need a lightweight 14.0 inch machine for office applications, web browsing and video conferencing with the integrated 540 graphics and webcam. Buyers who want a touchscreen, a higher resolution panel, discrete graphics or more than 16 GB of memory should look at other models.

500GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD determines storage speed

The single specification that decides fit is the 500GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD, which sets both the maximum factory storage capacity and the interface speed for the operating system and applications. The laptop has two memory slots and supports up to 16 GB of DDR4 if a future upgrade is required.

Questions about this item

Does the Core i7-6650U throttle under sustained load at 3.40 GHz?

The dual-core processor runs at 2.20 GHz base with a 3.40 GHz turbo; sustained all-core speeds depend on the laptop's cooling design and power limits.

How loud or hot does the Latitude E7470 get during all-day use?

The 14.0" chassis uses integrated Iris Graphics 540, so heat and fan noise stay modest for typical office workloads.

What must I already own to use the 500GB M.2 NVMe drive?

The drive is installed and Windows 10 Home 64-bit is loaded; only a power source is required to start working.
